At BG Pump, we don’t just install and service water systems—we build trust, one job at a time. Based in Ramona and serving the backcountry, we bring deep technical knowledge, precise workmanship, and a no-nonsense approach to residential, agricultural, and ranch water systems.

Whether you're facing a no-water emergency, technical issues with your water system, or planning a new install, our goal is simple: give you a system that works right, works efficiently, and works for years. We don’t replace parts that don’t need replacing, and we’ll always give you honest, informed advice—even if it means recommending you wait before spending money.

Brandon Grassilli

Owner / Lead Water Systems Expert

Brandon Grasilli, the driving force behind BG Pump, brings a wealth of experience and a lifelong commitment to water well industry. Born and raised in Ramona, Brandon attended Ramona High School and its nationally renowned automotive department. His dedication and skill earned him recognition and multiple victories in State competitions and National contests, resulting in his being awarded a $100,000 scholarship by automotive manufacturers and technical schools, highlighting his commitment to excellence.

Brandon’s involvement in the water well industry is a family affair; his father was a well respected well pump contractor, and Brandon occasionally worked with him on job sites while growing up. This experience instilled in him a core value of hard work and a recognition of the vital responsibility of ensuring a constant water supply for the community. During the summer of his 9th grade year, Brandon went to work for Ramona Pump and Supply, further integrating him into the business of diagnosing, repairing and installing pump systems.

Upon graduating High School Brandon contemplated his future and decided to remain in the water well industry where he could bring his depth of understanding of electrical and mechanical systems to that industry. At 19 he took a bold step and purchased his first pump truck, formally establishing BG Pumps, and for more than a decade he has been honing his skills and knowledge to provide top-tier service in the field.

Brandon is committed to Ramona, where he plans to raise his family and continue his journey of perpetual improvement and innovations in serving the community with reliable water well systems.

Steven Canning

Junior Water System Technician

Steven was born and raised in San Diego County and has lived in Campo, Alpine, and Ramona. He has always had a deep appreciation for small-town life and strong community ties. Steven takes a lot of pride in his community and his local roots. He graduated from Ramona High School, where he was active in football and track & field. After high school, he continued playing football at San Diego Mesa College, but an injury changed his path. From that point on, he found coaching youth sports was very fulfilling. Steven been both a head coach and an assistant coach for youth football and baseball teams.

Eventually, Steven enrolled at San Diego Miramar College to study Diesel Engine Technology and began laying the groundwork for a career in mechanics. For five years, He worked as a diesel mechanic, gaining hands-on experience with diagnostics, repairs, engine rebuilds, and maintenance. He also worked face-to-face with customers as a service advisor, which helped sharpen his communication skills.

Steven met Brandon Grassilli as his time as a mechanic, while servicing his 1997 F-350. They hit it off quickly, and Steven knew right then that he wanted to work with Brandon someday.

That opportunity came in October 2024, when he officially joined the BG Pump team. Since then, he has thrown himself into learning everything he can about water well systems. Steven loves that this job offers something different every day, and he thrives on the variety and the challenge. Steven brings energy, reliability, and a drive to grow—and is proud to be part of a team that makes a real difference.

Chelsie Grassilli

Office Manager

Chelsie's journey with BG Pump began with a simple goal: to support her husband Brandon, build something meaningful together, and create the kind of life they dreamed of - owning a home to raise their kids in one day and a piece of property to build a small homestead. Working with her husband will also allow her to raise their kids from home which is also super important to them.

Running the office was always the main goal but before stepping into that role, Chelsie spent five years working out in the field, learning the ins and outs of the job firsthand. It was important the she understood what the team and their customers experience every day so when she transitioned into the office, she'd really know the work behind the paperwork.

Chelsie has always been passionate about helping people. She's spent over 20 years in customer service. Loves connecting with customers, hearing their stories, and being part of a community where we all know each other by name. There's something really special about running into familiar faces around town. It's exactly the kind of connection she's always valued. If you're looking at her photo with the thought, "I feel like I know her." She's likely made you a cup of joe at the local Starbucks. She gets that often around town!

These days, Chelsie manages scheduling, customer care, and all the behind-the-scenes magic that keeps BG Pump flowing smoothly. Its a role she's proud of, and she's so grateful to be part of a company that puts people first.
